Profane is one of the 6 Mysti Pillars. Represented by the color orange, it is characterized by self-satisfaction, pleasure, amorality, enjoyment, cruelty, selfishness and malice.

Users

The minimum virtue to become a user of the Profane is AMBITION. This means that the user values one’s own goal more than anything else in his path. However, this does not necessarily mean that this goal is vile or evil.

Beyond the minimum, Profane values its users who know exactly what they want and are willing to do anything to get it, regardless of how many bodies are left behind. Although most Profane users do not hurt anyone unless necessary, some sink into this cruelty, only enjoying the path to their desires if there are victims on it.
They naturally have a deep contempt for the weak, seeing them as people who are content with the mediocrity of their lives, being only useful to serve and be exploited by the strong.
For Profane users, the best path to their aspirations is the quickest, no matter who they have to step over to achieve them.

Powers

Pain

The Profane naturally causes pain to his enemies, being a master of torture. The pain is felt, but it does not cause physical damage, but rather mental damage, since as a non-physical enemy, he is far from dying, and is capable of much more pain. The pain can be applied by touch, but it can also be applied at long range, but with less effect. In extreme cases of using this ability, the person suffers so much mental damage that their mind shuts down, entering a complete coma just to not suffer anymore.

Mental damage is something in which the Profane specializes.

Agonizing Needles

The Holy Mysti values fair and honorable combat, materializing sacred weapons for this purpose. The Profane prefers efficiency over honor, and can materialize thin blades like needles and guide them with their minds to hit any unprotected point of their opponents. The Profane is not an expert in mass destruction like Chaos, but he knows how to cause damage, injure and kill. But if torturing and hitting small points is not ideal at the time of the fight, and the user wants to end it all at once, the needles can be thrown like a huge wave crushing the opponent’s body. It is not the slow and precise pain that the Profane likes, but it is victory.

Fear

Fear is an absurdly effective weapon not to be used. If the user of the Profane can enter the mind of his opponent, the user of the Profane can make the opponents acquire a terrifying vision, almost incapable of fighting. In more extreme cases, the terror is so great that it results in the victim’s suicide.

Invasion of the Untouchable

The Profane naturally enjoys messing with other people’s things. The fact that people find it uncomfortable only gives them more pleasure. But the mind, our memories, are not things that can be touched, they are the ultimate property, something that is only yours, and only you have access to. But it is not like that for the Profane.
With the Invasion of the Untouchable, the profane can invade your mind, as if they were invading your home, and simply snoop around wherever they want. Your memories, your happiness and intimacy, things that were only yours, now belong to the Profane as well.
Stronger people can resist mental invasion, but this resistance is diminished by the amount of torture, mental exhaustion and pain that the Profane mysti is capable of causing, thus weakening the person’s mind, lowering their defenses and releasing everything for the Profane to see.

Power Steal

A truly Profane person is one who does whatever it takes to survive, avoid defeat, and most importantly, win. Thus, when they come across a stronger opponent, when defeat is near and their strength is not enough to win, the Profane is able to painfully absorb the strength of anyone nearby, whether enemy or ally, to become more powerful and stronger.
Despite the energy granted, the Power Steal does not work to heal the user. It is more used to stop feeling pain from injuries if injured, or to further increase the strength they already have, if they are unharmed.

When someone’s strength is almost completely drained, the person is left in a state of near death. At this point, the extraction is so violent that it can even permanently remove some of the person’s mysti. Yes, the Profane has the ability to take some of someone’s mysti. However, the user of the Profane does not receive this Mysti, he merely removes it from another person. For the Profane, gaining something for himself is no more pleasurable than taking something from another person.

Mental Possession

The pain caused by the Profane is so great that some people’s brains are turned off so as not to suffer anymore. Since your mind no longer has any control, they insist on using what you no longer want, thus becoming a mindless slave.
However, those possessed do not have the ability to perform complex actions such as teaching, talking or even learning. Those controlled become beings devoid of freedom and minimal capabilities. Thus, they are possessed only as physical labor force, nothing more.

Tainted Purpose (Extremity)

The supreme Profane is the one who wishes to possess everything that exists for himself, especially that which he does not possess. Through the Tainted Purpose, the user is able to use any Mysti whose powers he knows and how they work. However, when using this power, the user is limited to using only one Mysti at a time, but experienced users know very well which power and when to use it. Many Mystis, especially the Pillars, the brothers and sisters of the Profane, are awakened by affinity, being used by those who conquered them by their own merit. The Profane laughs at the merit and uses them without deserving them, using their powers for his own interests, in this way the Mystis used have their Tainted Purpose.
