“Without Sacrifice, Duty is misguided
Without Duty, Sacrifice is empty
Together, they form the golden glow of my Heroism
My King’s Heroism made him risk his life against the End of the World to save everyone
I have no right to selfishness”

– Dolav Oath

The Dolav Legion is one of the five Otesis Legions founded to be the most legendary and recognizable Force of Drakynium.

Founded by the human Harvam, the Dolav are the yellow legion, composed of Holy Mysti users. With sacrifice and duty as their secondary virtues, which together form their primary virtue, heroism, the Yellow Legion dedicated to being as close as possible to an ideal they have created for themselves. They want to be as close as possible to their king, a hero. As a result, they end up worrying and taking great care of their image. They believe that people need heroes, to give them hope. And they try their best to be those people. Someone who when a citizen sees, even if the world is falling apart, he will be able to smile with hope.

The Dolav believe that at the end of the day, caring for and protecting the peace of the kingdom is caring for and protecting the lives of the people. While the Astov spend their free time helping the common people with their work or giving them whatever support they may need, the Dolavs strive every day to ensure that a father’s only concern is what time he will get home to see his family, without the risk of worrying that he may never return.

The Yellow Legion seeks to be for the people what Otes Abiak, their king, is for them and for the world: an example, a hero, a savior, someone so glorious that he inspires just by the fact of his name. A peaceful world, of peace and where people can sleep soundly without fear of the evils outside their home, that is what a Dolav should seek.

They train, fight, fly and sacrifice themselves every day so that a single life can be saved. They spend immense amounts of time in major wars searching for and caring for civilians and innocents, because there is no point in winning the war if everything they fought for has already died. As long as there is something worth fighting for, something worth dying for, they will not stop. No matter how much damage they suffer, how many wounds their bodies have, or how much pain they feel, as long as there is something or someone they want to protect, they will fight. It is absolutely common and standard that the last ones on the battlefield alive are the Dolav. Their resilience, will and faith keep them standing. It is something that, as they say: “When you find something to fight for other than yourself, you will only feel pain when it is greater than your devotion to it.”

The Dolav pride themselves on being the link between the people and their king every day, for those who have never seen one, seeing a Dolav knight is a close second.

Segments

1st Segment – Divine Shields

Segrarch: Torvesis Linaris, the Immaculate
Culture: Resilience, Persistence, Durability
Main Power: Sacred Protection

The Divine Shields play a similar role to the Immortal Vanguard, the 1st segment of the Astov legion, but in a different way. While the Immortal Vanguard are tough and durable due to their large bodies and regeneration, the Divine Shields are resistant to damage due to their power.
Using the power of Sacred Protection, the Divine Shields specialize in protective barriers and in simply not being able to be moved. Once they find a place, they will protect it, and it is impossible to move them from there except with overwhelming numbers.
A prime example of this extreme defensive effort in this segment is its segrech, Torvesis Linaris. The first knight to receive the title of Gotarka, this is given to knights who performed legendary feats in the defense of the capital Otesis. Torvesis earned this title when he single-handedly defended the western gate of Otesis for three days of uninterrupted siege. Even with the gate fallen, and the city open to the enemy, he guarded the entrance alone. Because of the barrier power he placed around his body, no matter how hard they tried, he could not be hurt, and was not even scratched. The enemies, after a while, decided to ignore him and enter the city. Of course, he was not able to stop a crowd from passing by himself, but he killed anyone who came near him for three days. When the siege was over, all they found at the western entrance was a fallen gate and a standing knight.
Using incredibly resistant barriers, the Shields can spend a long time fighting without taking damage that others would suffer and would take them out of action in seconds of combat. Their knowledge of defensive warfare is unsurpassed.
Incredible resistance, inability to be moved, enormous tenacity and barriers that only break after the place they protect, make the knights of the 1st Dolav segment the shields that defend the Drakynium.

2nd Segment – Anointed Fighters

Segrarch: Corfus Kravos, the Unstoppable, All Might (gnome)
Culture: Physical Enhancement, Martial Arts, Hand-to-Hand Combat
Main Power: Vigor of the Righteous
Warcry: “First weapon. Last Armor. A strong body.”

The Anointed Fighters are devoted to direct, unarmed combat. They train and improve their bodies more and more, day after day, in addition to practicing different types of fighting to become better and better in combat.
Their bodies are all they need to destroy their opponents. Despite being fighters, something that requires agility and mobility, they do not need to give up their resistant, yet heavy, armor. The Vigor of the Righteous power enhances all of the user’s physical aspects. Strength, endurance, speed, agility. They transform into super-powerful living beings, making it easy for them to pierce the chest of armored opponents with just one punch. All this physical power is the reason why most of them do not use weapons. Their strength is so great that common weapons are not capable of withstanding the blows they inflict, breaking in a few, or even in one blow. They are rare, but there are weapons capable of withstanding the tremendous strength of these knights. Combat is like a sport to them, a practice they prepare themselves for through training. They see their opponents as a point of reference; whenever they kill one, they immediately go on to kill another, maintaining a sequence of victims in the shortest possible time between each.

If the Divine Shields are the Dolav’s tireless defense, the Anointed Fighters are their tireless attack.

3rd Segment – Virtuous Weapons

Segrarch: Lanes Vargt
Culture: Armamentist, Duelist, Dedication
Main Power: Arsenal of Justice

The Virtuous Weapons are Dolav’s masters in the use of weapons. All types. Of course, each knight has his own preference, but putting a weapon in the hands of one of these knights who is average or even bad will still be better than putting it in the hands of an ordinary person who is excellent with it. They are dedicated, believing that they need to do their utmost to serve King Otes and defeat their enemies. And this effort is demonstrated through absurd training to master as many weapons as possible or master a single weapon beyond what anyone would be capable of. Even though it is not possible for most to carry so many weapons with them, this limitation is nullified by the power Arsenal of Justice. Through this power, the knights of the 3rd can materialize any weapon they want in the form of sacred energy. Whether it is their favorite weapon, or the most ideal for the moment, they will always be armed.

4th Segment – Miracle Bearers

Segrarch: Elos Prav
Culture: Healing, Altruistic, Benevolent
Main Power: Blessed Healing

Miracle Bearers are unique not only within the Dolav Legion, but within all Otesis Legions. This is because they focus their power on their allies and not on their enemies.
Although they are knights who fight head-on against any enemy, most spend a significant amount of time trying to heal their allies, trying to save them. Thanks to the Blessed Healing of the, they not only heal their allies, but also themselves, being able to continue fighting even after receiving injuries that would otherwise take them out of combat.
They are among the most empathetic and kind knights in the legions, feeling guilty when they suffer losses, believing that the deaths of others are caused by their own incompetence.
At the same time as they heal, they seek to raise the morale of the troops at all costs. Which they do with extreme ease, even without knowing it. It is known throughout the army that the presence of a Miracle Bearer greatly increases their chances of survival, making these knights truly divine figures, admired and adored by everyone, inside and outside the legions and the army.
Wherever the Miracle Bearers go, hope comes with them.

5th Segment – King’s Judges

Segrarch: Onix Saxtres
Culture: Punishment, Pride, Indifference
Main Power: Light of Judgment
Warcry: “His light, your last sight.”

Similar to the Vengeful Fires, the 1st segment of the Brasali legion, the King’s Judges seek revenge on the enemies of Otesis. However, while the Brasali exact their revenge through impetuous, violent and fiery fury, the Dolav do so in the form of a sacred, cold and clean punishment. The King’s Judges are serious, calm and elegant by nature, some even considering them arrogant, this being a not unjustified consideration. They believe they are judges, jury and, above all, executors of the will of their revered sovereign, with authoritarian power granted by King Otes himself. And with this royal authority, they burn their enemies to the bone with the Light of Judgment. Because they consider themselves the personal agents of the king, and have a somewhat elitist, cold and snobbish culture, the knights of this segment end up developing a sense of superiority in relation to any other ally. And for their enemies, they have nothing but contempt and pure apathy, even to the point of indifference towards the adversary they are melting.
To them, their enemies are just criminals awaiting trial. And these judges arrive with their sentences already decreed.

Dolav Knights

1st Segment – Divine Shields

Torvesis Linaris, the Immaculate

Rank: Segrarch

Race: Canidi

The Linaris family is known for its male members having been great and competent members of the kamalar, the royal guards of the king of Kereth. Torvesis was no exception, having joined Dolav, they became best friends, to the point that Harvam considered him a true uncle.
When Kenast assumed the throne, Torvesis joined Harvam in the numerous revolts against the now pharaoh. Even though he was older and more experienced, Torvesis voluntarily assumed the position of second in command in the group, obeying Harvam who was much younger and more impetuous. He assisted and assisted Harvam in his first moments of leadership with dedication and commitment, and, in a short time, that young man rewarded the trust placed in him, becoming an inspiring leader and a great captivator of followers and people.
For Torvesis, his role as kamalar has always been to fight to protect, and as segrarch of the Dolav, it would be no different. He and his segment are the shield that protects everything they swore to fight for. Ever since Kenast took the throne, Torvesis has sought something worth protecting, something he would sacrifice his life to maintain. To him, Otesis is the light of hope that the world needed, that he needed. And to keep it alive, he will be the shield that protects that light against all the evil that tries to extinguish it.

2nd Segment – Anointed Fighters

Corfus Kravos, the Tireless, All Might

Rank: Segrarch

Race: Gnome

The dragon allowed the existence of kingdoms whose values were well-regarded by him. Tyranny. Oppression. Exploitation. Malice. Cruelty. Everything a culture should have for him to sympathize with it.
Among the countless governments tolerated by the dragon Gralgor, Jamast’s reign was the most benign and pleasant to live in. Many wondered why the dragon allowed a decent and fair government like that of King Jamast. Yes, he paid the taxes and his entire kingdom paid homage to the beast, as did all the other kingdoms. However, this was far from being enough to prevent the beast from destroying his kingdom. Many say that because of his extreme kindness and lack of firmness, Jamast was seen as a weakling who Gralgor liked to have serving him. The king himself did not mind being seen this way, as long as the dragon’s fire was not released against his people. Despite his dislike, Jamast still had to submit to the dragon’s demands regarding his permitted governments. Such as: enforced slavery.
Even with slavery imposed as the rule of a game, Jamast managed to find ways to circumvent this rule, thus helping some slaves. One of these means were the khorpeshans. These were slaves who were sent to fight in the piramasts, which were a hole in the desert sand floor in the shape of an upside-down pyramid. The walls of the hole worked as bleachers that descended diagonally to the top of the back walls. After a few meters of wall, below the bleachers, there was a flat and spacious bottom where the khorpeshans fought.
As a way to help the slaves, Jamast decreed that a korpeshan could be freed after a certain amount of combats. Since they were slaves specialized in combat, not even their owners could forbid them from fighting because they did not want to lose their possession.
Corfus was one of the most famous khorpeshans of the Kereth desert. Being a gnome, he was one of the smallest known races. However, his power with the sacred gave him an abnormally frightening vigor and strength. Standing at around 1 meter tall, Corfus had enough strength to break a giantess’ leg bone with a single punch. The little gnome became a legend not only for defeating much larger opponents, but for winning by fighting with his bare hands. The gnome never won using any kind of weapon.
When he became free, King Jamast himself gave him his new name. After being freed, the slave was renamed, as he was starting a new life. “Kravos” was the name the king gave him. The gnome felt honored, but decided to keep his birth name, given to him by those who gave him life long ago, and he did not want to give it up. However, he agreed to use the name the king gave him as his surname, in honor of the one who gave him a new life.
After being freed, now Corfus Kravos, he dedicated himself to training other Khorpeshans and guiding them in the fights so that they could gain their own freedom. Most of the slaves freed by Corfus returned to help him, as a way of repaying him. There were so many freed that they already seemed like a gigantic family of dozens.
When the dragon was killed by Otes, the king’s death occurred at the hands of his son, Kenast. Corfus and his companions did not hesitate for a second in fighting against the now proclaimed Sole Pharaoh to avenge their dead and beneficent king. Joining the Harvam band, they fought with their own bodies against the tyranny that was being established.

3rd Segment – Virtuous Weapons

Lanes Vargo, Arsenal of Justice

Rank: Segrarch

Race:

Even though their initial and main domain was the grand desert of Kereth, King Jamast’s territory extended across practically the entire northwest of the continent. And it was in these conquered lands, in the far west, in the green and rocky land of Etlia that the Vargt family lived.
Following the customs of the people of this robust and beautiful region, the Vargt are a family with an immense desire for power and conquest. What sets them apart from the rest is their famous weaponry tradition. From a young age, all members are rigorously trained with every type of weapon imaginable. Believing that war and conflict are natural in the world, the Vargt believe that only the strong and skilled will be able to prosper. Therefore, they decided that their family would be the strongest and most skilled in the art of combat, so that when the opportunity arose, they would be prepared and ahead of any competitor.
Born into this family that prepares its children for combat from an early age, Lanes received no different treatment from his relatives. He was trained and pressured as much as anyone else there, but it was when he reached an age where he felt strong and confident enough to face the world that he left his family.
Lanes was never excessively mistreated or abused by his family. The pressure for skill and strength in combat was something traditional for them, and he understood that. He even agreed that a person needed to know how to fight and be strong, but he disagreed with those skills being prepared and used to start conflicts. Traveling to the north of Etlia, to the extreme northwest of Eredwyn, he founded a monastery where he dedicated several years to teaching his philosophy of necessary combat.
Although it was a place reasonably open to outsiders, the activities, training and studies at the monastery were quite restricted. Rumors began to spread about the place. That it was a place made to forge weapons and train great fighters. The monastery became quite large and with many members, and for years Lanes saw his belief reach and conquer many people. But it was with the death of King Jamast that his territory plunged into chaos. The death of the king at the hands of his own son, the now Sole Pharaoh Kenast, triggered conflicts in countless regions. There were many reasons: declaring independent territories; conquering neighboring cities and states; stealing resources from other lands. Although each had their reasons, be they good or bad, there was only one person that Lanes truly blamed: Kenast. By killing the king, his own father, he stirred up both those who loved Jamast’s rule and would not accept Kenast’s tyranny; as well as those who only needed a moment of instability in the government to begin to satisfy their desires for power and conquest. There were ways to combat only one of these beasts, but Kenast awakened both, plunging the entire territory into a series of unnecessary civil wars. Of all the possible choices, Kenast chose the one that resulted in the greatest bloodshed and violence. The Vargt family, which had trained its members for years for times like these, sprang into action. Their main goal was to dethrone Kenast, thus taking command of his inherited territory after crushing all opposition. They thought that Kenast had killed him, unaware of the violence that this would generate. They could not have been more wrong. In just two years, Kenast pacified the entire territory, putting an end to all opponents and usurping plans. In the middle of these years, the complete and total defeat of the Vagt family occurred. Despite their skill with weapons and tremendous strength, they were unable to resist the immense and overwhelming power of Kenast and his subordinates. Even with the death of his family, Lanes had not yet entered the conflict. Although he regretted it, this was an outcome he had already expected. What made him leave his monastery to go fight was an event with Kenast’s army. A battalion of the One Pharaoh had survived a brutal defeat. They stormed the monastery, wounded and unarmed. Because of the legends of the place, they thought they could arm themselves there. Despite numerous claims that there were no weapons there, they began desperately to search the place. After finding nothing, they ended up killing one of the monastery’s students, resulting in a massive massacre. It was then that the weapons were revealed.

There really were no weapons in that place, at least not physical ones. What Lanes had been teaching for years at the monastery was the Arsenal of the Justice of the Sacred power, the ability to project into being any weapon made purely of sacred mysti. Lanes believed that the ability to fight would always be necessary, as would his family, but he believed that if one were to take up arms, it should be to end a conflict, not to start one. Literally never carrying a weapon, his students learned to call upon these tools only when necessary. They defeated the invading battalion, and then abandoned the monastery, now entering the conflict against Kenast, the one Lanes believed to be the greatest culprit for the great conflict that had annihilated so many lives. If Kenast was the one who started the war, Lanes would help end it. He subordinated himself to Harvam’s command in his band to end Kenast’s tyranny, and, in the future, any other that generated conflicts and wars in the world.

4th Segment – Miracle Bearers

Elos Prav, the Restorer, the Angel of the Desert

Rank: Segrarch

Race: Angel

Charitable, benevolent, and charitable. All characteristics for which the Prav family is very famous. Although they are not exactly pacifists, the Pravs fight only to defend themselves. They dedicated themselves mainly to helping anyone who needed care, especially medical care. With large amounts of money, they owned small properties scattered throughout the desert. These places served as true oases to care for those who were caught and punished by the hardships of the desert.
When Kenast arrived, the family’s properties were overwhelmed with wounded and sick people from the conflict that had broken out. Elos was one of the most selfless, dedicated, and healing members of his family. The property where he was active was called Pravalart, and it had many wounded members on the side of the revolts. For Elos and his family, no matter which side they were on, they would care for anyone in need. However, when Kenast’s army discovered that the property was helping and recovering the enemy, they considered them traitors.
In a violent attack, the Pharaoh’s army invaded the family estate, killing the wounded and sick defenseless in their own beds. The Pravs did what they could without weapons, but they were unable to stop the massacre coming from the Pharaoh’s side, and this resistance resulted in the death of many family members.
In desperation, Elos used his Sacred Healing to heal anyone within reach. But no matter how strong he was in healing, the dead could not be healed, and the enemies killed faster than he could heal. Losing his family and the people they wanted to protect every second, Elos ended up being the only survivor of the Pravalart massacre, being rescued by Lanes Vargo who was already part of Hesiris’s band. Against his family’s philosophy, Elos had his life saved by weapons that day. Invited, Elos joined the pack not only as their most powerful healer, a true embodiment of salvation and comfort, but also as a warrior who would fight to protect those in need, as he had been unable to do in Pravalart.

5th Segment – King’s Judges

Onix Saxtres, The Last Light

Rank: Segrarch

Race: Amurani (Jackal men)

The Saxtres family was famous, but not exactly for good reasons. They were a noble family known for their judges, who were able to judge any crimes and offenses within their territories in the way they saw fit. They achieved great wealth by oppressing their own population in a form of slave labor, even though they always denied practicing it. The lack of morals of King Jamast, Kenast’s father, was very well regarded by the Saxtres, as nothing was done about his tyrannical and violent attitudes towards the people. They were the creators of the famous Sertras, the Sun-Followers. They were thin and very tall stakes with a disc lying on top, which could be tilted in any direction. The people being punished were tied lying on the disc. And throughout the day, the disc moved so that it would always face the sun, and the tied person would also receive all the heat from the beginning to the end of the day. Being cut down was one of the most common punishments decreed by the Saxtres, even for people who did heinous things like not delivering their entire week’s worth of food for just one Saxtre family dinner.
It was only on the day Kenast killed his father and took the throne that he finally decided to put an end to the absurdity of the Saxtres’ trials and punishments, as well as their oppressive rule. In a matter of days, Kenast almost completely eradicated the entire family.
The son of the head of the family, Onix managed to escape the massacre. Despite being part of the family, he never contributed to increasing its bad reputation or took any pleasure in mistreating anyone for any reason he could invent, even though he didn’t seem to care about what his family did to those they ruled. Onix ended up joining one of the many revolts against Kenast, eventually ending up under Harvam’s command. Even though the name Saxtres is associated with exploitation and oppression, Onix uses it with pride for the family he was once part of, and intends to change and improve the image that the family of judges had. And he fights to avenge them with a sense of justice that he inherited very well from his family.
