“I was given the mission, by the spirit Helavis himself, to find the one who would free my people. Although he was a man in the world, it wasn’t difficult to find him. He wasn’t just anyone.
Otes freed the Helaws, my people, from more than a decade of slavery. He took us to his newly formed capital, sheltered us, took us in. I became his mage, his advisor, his friend. We were blessed to live in Otesis. Once slaves, we were now free to live as we pleased. In this city we developed our magic, which had previously been inhibited and suppressed by our oppressors. We discovered the potential we hadn’t imagined we had. Only we could limit ourselves. And under my leadership, all the magical power of the Helaws, my people, will be used for one purpose only: to facilitate our king’s journey. Our power will be the light that illuminates the path. Now and until the end of time, Helawic magic serves Otesis.”

– Solion, Prophet of Helavis, and Mage Counselor of Magis Solis.

The Magis Solis are the magical force of Drakynium. It concentrates the vast majority of all mages in the service of Otes. Because of their extreme affinity with magic, most of the Magis Solis are made up of Helaw people, as a way of thanking Otes for freeing them.
Previously only used to keep a barrier up, in Otesis they were able to exploit all the power they had, and under the leadership of the Mage Counselor, they were made official as one of the Forces, being responsible for all magical matters, especially threats and problems that can only be solved with magic.

However, the Magis Solis’ efforts were in education. Magis Solis was the name given to the school of magic in Otesis, created by Solion. There, all subjects and areas of magic were taught in order to train mage who would serve Otesis. Despite being a pacifist people, the Heleus at that time didn’t have the luxury of teaching magic to someone who stayed at home or became a farmer. It was only taught to those who would contribute to strengthening Drakynium in terms of power.

Ranks

Mage Counselor (Unolinekar)The highest position within the Magis Solis, the mage is also given the title of Left Head, one of the three highest authorities in Drakynium. Not just the most powerful mage in Drakynium, normally, but certainly the wisest, for this mage is advisor, as the name suggests, to the Middle Head of Drakynium, the king himself.
AvinikarBelow only the Mage Counselor, the Avinikar are at the top of the hierarchy of the 3 Magi Solis careers. Since there are 3 careers available, there are only 3 of these positions available. The Avinikar Zatva, for army mages. Avinikar Betsefer, for school mages. And finally, Avinikar Mebeda, for laboratory mages. These three are at the top and in command of their respective careers.
ElinikarThis is where the Magis Solis high command begins. Elinikars are mages who have demonstrated incredible leadership skills and genius, whether in combat or in magical development. They are the closest to the avinikars, being the main executors of their orders and the greatest authorities in various projects and military strategies.
IdilikarThe Idilikar ends up being the highest position that most people reach, but it’s still a great position and very prestigious. They end up being responsible for most of Magi Solis, and it is to them that the otisikars report and are subordinate. The idilikars are the intermediaries between the high command and the lower ranks. They transmit and demand the application of new orders and policies to the otisikars and thus to vast numbers of univikars, as well as being responsible for the good performance of various classes, the success of which can generate a good image for the idilikar.
OtisikarOtisikar is responsible for the newcomers, those who have just graduated and become univikars. His main job is to welcome the new graduates, explain how it works and what they will do in their chosen career, and above all to give the univikars their daily tasks and supervise them. Each Otisikar has a whole class of univikars under his command, and any failure by a univikar in the class is also a failure by the Otisikar.
UnivikarA wizard who graduates after a year of study at Magi Solis. This year serves only to determine whether the wizard has the minimum capabilities for the learning offered to him to be worthwhile. It is only after this year that the wizard officially becomes a member of Magi Solis, becoming a Univikar, immediately choosing his career, this being the most numerous position in the institution.

Careers

After passing the first year, the wizard becomes a Univikar, an official member of the Magis Solis. At this point, the univikar must immediately choose one of the 3 careers offered by the institution. This will be the career in which the candidate will specialize and progress.

ZatvaMilitary career, becoming an Army Mage, where he would fight alongside the virtuous Otesian Army on the battlefields. In this career, the mage would receive rank from both the Magis Solis and the Otesian Army, becoming an official member of the army, answering to superiors from both Forces.
BetseferSchool mage, responsible for training new mages who would further strengthen of the Drakynium. They were extremely important, because no matter what kind of mage he was, he would learn from a School Mage. If a mage became great in any area, deciding victories for Otesis, he was taught by these teachers. What’s more, they are the main creators of spells, seeking to make anything Drakynium needs as easy as possible.
MebedaThe last career is that of Laboratory Mage. They are responsible for researching, testing and developing anything that will help the Drakynium, be it powerful artifacts, portals to contact other planes, or even living beings. The drakes ridden by the Otesis knights were artificially created by these mages, for example. Throughout the Otesian Age, it’s easy to list inventions by these wizards that changed the course of battles and wars.

Golems

A Golem from Magis Solis

Considered the favorite “toys” of mages, golems are immense beings built by magic practitioners. Made of the most diverse shapes and materials, the construction of a golem depends on the will of its builder. Even though the normal one taught by the Helaw people, the original creators of golems, is an immense humanoid made of some type of rock or earth.

Regardless of shape and size, golems, like any artificial being without organs, need energy to function. The ideal would be an energy crystal inserted inside the golem, thus providing an unlimited source of energy for the construct. However, the rarity of a raw energy source makes a mage, usually the owner, become an energy donor for his creation. The bigger and stronger the golem, the more energy is needed. Powerful mage can have a considerable number of medium-sized golems or some slightly gigantic ones, an arsenal that common mages only dream of possessing.

The personality of the golem depends largely on its creator. The moment of its first activation is when the mage decides whether the golem will be able to speak, think or even do and learn things that were not ordered. Many choose not to allow learning, removing the sense of curiosity, to prevent any kind of desire other than to serve its master and rebel. Golems are activated with knowledge that their creator deems necessary for their activities. They will immediately know how to recognize people, substances and objects that their creator wants them to know from the moment they are activated.

This makes it easier for them to be used immediately to perform any function that their master deems necessary, be it as a worker, assistant, guard or even warrior. Tailor-made for any job and capable of performing any task, golems have no use beyond what is necessary within the forces of Otesis.

Golems Helavics

Even though they share their knowledge of golem production with common mages, the Helaw people will always be the masters in the art of producing these constructs. The most powerful golems, known as Helavic golems, are the golems created by Helaw mages, the original golem creators.
Unlike normal golems, Helavics are produced with numerous symbols and vocal incantations known only to the Helaws. All of this means that the golem does not need an energy source inside it nor does it need constant donations of energy from its masters, as the energy of a Helavic golem comes directly from the spirit of the Helaw people, the great spirit Helavis, directly from the Spiritual Plane. This allows them to function in an unlimited way until they are deactivated or destroyed. Due to the mastery of the helaws and the direct supply of energy from their great spirit, helavic golems are naturally stronger and more powerful than normal golems, regardless of their size or the material that makes up their body. Normally, the energy supplied to the golem is so gigantic that it is capable of releasing bursts of energy through its hands and even through its eyes, such is the power accumulated in its body.
One of the final rites for a helaw to become a great magician in his religion is the creation of a helavic golem. At the end of the process and upon its first activation, the golem will receive a name, and this will forever bind it to its master. This golem will be more than a servant; it will be a companion, a tireless friend who will always be by the magician’s side to protect him, help him, and, if necessary, sacrifice himself for him.
In the event of destruction, the helavic golem of a helaw magician will be rebuilt by Helavis himself in the Spiritual Plane. Since then, it can be summoned by its original owner at any time. Even though it is a difficult task and a high level for the mage to even be able to touch the Spiritual Plane, a true, pure and devoted Helaw mage will always be able to bring his friend back to help him.
Even though the Helavics have a close relationship with the Helaws, they are capable of being produced in a satisfactory quantity. Many of these golems are produced by mages not to serve a specific Helaw, but rather to the entire Helaw people. Within the ganazas, the Heleic churches, there are always some statues that are in fact deactivated Helavic golems, which will always be ready to be activated to protect the Helaws who hide in the ganaza in case of attacks and battles.
Always loyal to the people who created them, the Hevalic golems are one of the greatest tools that the Helaws have to defeat their enemies and help Otesis to defeat them. For the golems have an unbreakable loyalty to the helaws, and the helaws have an eternal loyalty to the dream that is Otesis. And these golems, like their masters, will do anything to keep that dream alive.
