“Drakynea freed Eredwyn from the terror of Gralgor. Drakynium will free it from the tyranny of his Successors.”
— The will of every citizen of Drakynium.
Drakynium is a kingdom founded after and upon the death of the dragon Gralgor, the End of the World, the First Calamity. This is the main force of combat and opposition against the tyrannical Successors who plot and organize their nefarious governments to spread their power and domination throughout the world.
Drakynium is the revolt and hope against all the evil and cruelty spread and established in Eredwyn by the dragon during his campaign of world devastation and his years of authoritarian rule. Brought directly from the Ethereal Plane by the god Kion through the death of Gralgor, the city of Otesis is the magnificent and powerful capital of Drakynium.
In addition to the city, the god Kion managed to leave a protective barrier around Otesis, allowing free passage only to those who had no bad intentions. Since it was the place where the Beast died, refugees and people fleeing the tyrannies installed in every corner of the world headed to the safety of Otesis, becoming a true paradise around the hell of oppression that the rest of the world had become.
However, it was not only poor souls thirsting for hope and safety who were drawn to the white city of Kion. Many warbands, who had been fighting the Successors before they were even given that name, came to Otesis to meet the one who killed the End of the World. Skilled and experienced warriors who had survived years while fighting the greatest and most evil powers in the world converged on Dragonfall, as the place where Gralgor fell dead became known.
After some events, Drakynium was founded along with the lighting of Gilias, the Lighthouse of Otesis, which is also the tallest building in the capital. From this lighthouse, a perennial light shines, which can be seen even from the horizon of any part of the world by anyone who is above the earth. The light of Gilias is a sign that guides the innocent thirsting for safety to Otesis; a sign of hope for those who do not have the freedom to go to the salvation of Otesis; and a sign of warning to all the enemies of Drakynium. For, for all these people, anywhere in the world, the light of Gilias is a sign that Otesis and Drakynium still live.
The symbol of Drakynium is the three-headed white dragon. Many, not wrongly, associate it with King Otes’ brother and dragon, Beud. But in truth this symbol is the representation of the 3 greatest titles and those who hold them. Together, King Otes, the wizard Solion, and the centaur Paicran, through the union and cooperation of their 3 weapons and 3 deities, lit Gilias, thus founding Drakynium in the year 22 of the Otesian Age.
The three greatest authorities of Drakynium that their symbol represents are also the leaders of the main forces that make up Drakynium. As well as the patron and founding deity of each of these forces, they are one of the founding aspects of Drakynium.
- The God Kion — represents Justice through King Otes Abiak, the Middle Head.
- The Great Spirit Helavis — represents Wisdom through the Mage Counselor Solion, the Left Head.
- The Dreamborn Colibia — represents Freedom through Supreme Commander Paicran Eternalmarch, the Right Head.
Although Kion is the official patron god and supporter of Otesis and the Drakynium, worship of other deities, of any nature, is fully permitted and encouraged, unlike the many tyrannical governments that the Drakynium fights against.
Even starting with little territory and many enemies, Drakynium, along with its allies, possesses an enormous concentration of power and resources. All those whom Gralgor and the governments he supported for years tormented and revolted have been concentrated in Drakynium. So much anger, desire for revenge, desire for freedom, and so much desire to bring hope to the world concentrated in so little territory cannot result in anything less than a true explosion that will combat and annihilate all those who have contaminated the world with their malice and cruelty. Drakynium may not have the largest territory or the numbers of its enemies, but it overcomes them all in will to fight.
Drakynium Forces
Being formed by people of all races, countless cultures, from all parts of the continent, Drakynium possessed the greatest diversity of powers and fighters among all the factions in the world.
Otesian Army
At least 80% of all Drakynium forces. They are the sword and shield of the kingdom. They are millions of ordinary men and women without the great powers of the legions, but infinitely more numerous. They guard all borders and are in absolutely every battle of the entire Otesian Era. Without these millions of men and women, Otesis and Drakynium would not have been able to sustain themselves for so long.
Despite not having monstrous drakes as mounts, elite training, or the absurd powers of the Otesis legions, the Otesian Army wins through numbers, loyalty, and persistence. Even if all 5 legions were added together, it would not reach 10% of the number of soldiers in the army that are needed to guard the kingdom.
They are brave beyond measure, because it is easy to go into combat when you have the best training, the best equipment, an intimidating mount, and enough power to make a difference on your own. The soldiers of the army have none of these things. Their armor and weapons are mass-produced, of the most basic kind possible, as is their training, and many end their lives without knowing what a mount is. And yet, they are the first to face Otes’ enemies in every battle. Among the millions of the Army, there is not a single coward.
Due to its immense numbers, only this force is capable of guarding the kingdom’s infinite borders, keeping eternal vigil over the enemies of the dream Drakynium, while the legionaries practically live in the comfort of the capital. Being an Otesian soldier is giving your life for the ideal of Otesis, its will. It is knowing that you will probably not live past your first battle, it is knowing that you will fight with only the simplest of equipment against a monstrous enemy. It is knowing that you will probably not return to see your loved ones. And fighting, even with all these adversities. The effort to maintain hope and morale in this army is immense, and yet they succeed. Because with each passing day, with each victory achieved, even if it costs their lives, they know that what they fight for still stands. The body of each man and woman in this army is what separates Otesis from defeat.

Although it is the exception rather than the rule, many warriors in the army have Mysti powers. Not as absurd as the legionaries, most of them don’t even get past the Mysti Basic, and even fewer reach a Mysti Pillar, which is a requirement to join the legions. However, the soldiers who reach this level choose to remain in the suffering army instead of joining one of the 5 glorified legions. Because that is where they chose to serve, where their companions are, where they chose to fight to the death. And as much as the luxury and power of the legions are absurdly attractive, these soldiers would not trade the suffering daily life of the army for anything. They are too strong for that.
Magis Solis
The Magis Solis are the magical Force of Drakynium. They concentrate the vast majority of all mages in the service of Drakynium. Due to their extreme affinity with magic, the majority of the Magis Solis are made up of the Helaw people, as a way of thanking Otes for having freed them.
Before being used only to keep a barrier standing, in Otesis they were able to explore all the power they had, and under the leadership of the Mage Counselor, they were officially recognized as one of the Forces, being responsible for all magical matters, especially threats and problems that can only be solved with magic.
However, the efforts of the Magis Solis were in education. Magis Solis was the name given to the school of magic in Otesis, created by Solion. There, all subjects and areas of magic were taught to train mages who would serve Drakynium. Despite being a pacifist people, the Helaws, at that time, did not have the luxury of teaching magic so that someone could stay at home or become a farmer. Teaching was only given to those who would contribute to strengthening Drakynium in terms of power.
Otesis Legions
The knights of the Otesis Legions are the most legendary and recognizable warriors in the service of the greatest hero in history, King Otes Abiak. They are so valued that they all have artificially made drakes as mounts, these beasts being produced only to be ridden by these knights, since no other force in Otesis would be able to tame them.
The legions were founded by the five most powerful fighters who defended the capital in the legendary First Siege of Otesis. After that, these 5 were given authority to form their legendary Otesis legions. Each legion has its name, color, oath, and its two secondary virtues and one primary. The primary is what the legion values most, and is indispensable for anyone who wants to have the honor of becoming a knight.
What most differentiates the legions from the more normal soldiers of Drakynium is that each knight has at least one awakened Mysti Pillar, being practically a prerequisite to officially be a legionary. Each legion ended up with a Mysti Pillar, the one that best fit their beliefs, personality and style. Making this mysti the essence of the legion, something that everyone there has, something only theirs, something that makes them united. The awakening of a pillar mysti being something unattainable by ordinary people, only made the knights even more exceptional and legendary. They were the closest to Otes that anyone could be.
Drakynean Guard
The Drakynean Guard are the elite transcendental warriors of Drakynium. They function as the honor guard of the king of Otesis and the last trump card in cases of extreme need, with only the Middle Head as the authority capable of giving them orders, all others can only suggest that the Guard do something.
They are the most powerful, honorable and loyal warriors Otesis has, but also, of all the Forces, the Drakynean Guard is the smallest. This is largely due to the process candidates go through to join these legendary ranks.
Only members of the Otesian Army are given the opportunity to join the Drakynean Guard, which is not a possibility for the great Knights of the Otesis Legions. When a member of the army is seriously wounded, usually crippled, or in cases where death is certain, if that soldier has shown true heroism, deeds that have generated deep admiration and respect from his comrades and superiors, and above all, true loyalty to Drakynium, he is offered the possibility of joining the Drakynean Guard.
Inside Drakyoniar, the Royal Palace of Otesis, where the royal family lives, there is a room with a large flame called Kintlelar. Just like the entire city of Otesis, this flame was created by the god Kion. It is a huge bonfire of grayish-white metallic flame whose burning sound resembles two swords sliding past each other. If it is the candidate’s will or their only chance of staying alive, their body is placed inside the flame. There, the person’s mind will live countless lives in seconds, and if in a single life they betray the Drakynium, their body will turn to dust instantly. But if the candidate proves their absolute and pure loyalty, through the power of Kion they will be reborn as a true member of the Drakynean Guard.
Once Kintlelar is reborn, the person comes back completely restored. Their body is unchanged, but their power is greatly increased. Kion’s blessing makes the now member of the Guard beyond any level attainable by his former comrades in the army or even the Otesis Knights. It is only the elite of Drakynium’s enemies, if not only their leader himself, who is able to rival the strength and relentless power of a Drakynean guard. The Guard members begin to age very slowly, and it takes much more power than normal for something from their enemies to affect them.
In addition to a completely restored and fit body, immense power, and being practically tireless, the members of the Drakynean Guard possess the ability to transform themselves into a kind of arrow of gray light capable of crossing and flying through the skies freely. The Drakynean Guard’s main function is to accompany and protect the Middle Head, the king of Otesis, and his family. As many of these people fly on dragons, which are not available to members of the Guard, the ability to fly in the form of an energy arrow is very useful for their function of protecting them.
The entire Guard is made up of many races, but they all have the standard white armor with draconic details. Due to the rarity of their recruitment, they end up being the Drakynium Force with the smallest number of members, even being called “The Hundred”, because if there are 100 members in the Drakynean Guard, it is considered a lot. This name also serves to intimidate the Drakynium’s enemies, because simply seeing a Drakynean Guard is something that really terrifies or, at the very least, inspires respect in the enemy, so making your opponents imagine that there are “one hundred” of them is a good way to make them worried.
Once reborn by Kintlelar, the warrior member of the Drakynean Guard is now bound to the god Kion. When they die, their souls go straight to the halls of the god, where he uses them for something he is preparing.
Unitites
Vor’Barut, Pure Steel Drakes
Drakes made of Stelinite, the Vor’Barut descended to Eredwyn along with the city of Otesis when it was surrendered by the god Kion. Similar in size and appearance to the Otesis drakes, as it was the Vor’Barut who inspired their creation. They played a key role in the early years of Otes’ reign, as their strength was diluted at that time and the power of their enemies was concentrated. After the Year of Reconquest, the Vor’Barut rarely participated in external wars. Most remained in Otesis, as statues atop the towers and pillars. When they were needed, they would awaken to defend the kingdom of Otes.
The name Vor’Barut means “Spawn of Barut” because all Vor’Barut are practically miniature versions of the great dragon Barut, which is one of the 100 blessings of Gilasus (100 powers given by the gods to the first hero of Eredwyn to slay the colossus). Like the original, the Vor’Barut were handcrafted by the god Kion and only by him could more be made, and were brought to the Mortal Plane by the heavens along with the city of Otesis.
Like Barut, the Pure Steel Drakes possess a thin, metallic beam of high power as their breath. However, unlike Barut, the Vor’Barut are not genuine living beings, being closer to automatons in the form of metallic drakes. Continuing, the Spawn of Barut end up not being able to stray too far from the capital Otesis or the Otesian Kingdom; if they do, they will lose their connection with the god who designed them, Kion. If this happens, the Vor’Barut will have complete freedom to do whatever they want, whether it be to continue with their role as guardian of the kingdom, if they have a strong sense of duty and attachment to their original command, or they can simply turn their backs on the responsibility of their creation, thus starting a new life in the world as a true animal that has been released into the world. Surprisingly, Kion’s metallic drakes ended up forming a strong and friendly connection with the Stellinite Sentinels of Selanor, the warriors responsible for acting as police and fixed defenders of the Otesian Kingdom, acting as their mounts at the times they were active, and thus they would fight together the invasions of the kingdom.
